Description

The sweetest support system your climbing plants could ask for.
Meet the Honeybee Plant Trellis — part sculpture, part plant parent essential. Featuring a honeycomb pattern with a perched honeybee, this trellis gives your trailing vines, climbers and leafy friends something to hold onto while adding a modern, organic vibe to your space.

Crafted from weathering Corten® steel, it’s designed to age gracefully while standing strong. Whether in a windowsill jungle or on a sunny kitchen shelf, this trellis helps your plants grow healthier and happier — all while looking bee-autiful.

Our Honeybee Plant Trellis is:
Designed to support growth – Ideal for climbers like pothos, monstera, or string of hearts
Sized just right – 31cm high × 15cm wide, weighs approx. 150g
Built to last – Made from 3mm NZ Corten® steel that forms a protective patina
Easy to post – Ships flat in an A4 box (31cm × 21cm × 1cm)
Fast to ship – Same-day dispatch on weekday orders placed before 2pm
Locally made – Cut and finished in a family-owned NZ factory
No-fuss install – Just push the stake gently into soil and guide your plant to climb

No tools. No stress. Just healthy, climbing plants.

1. Choose a medium-to-large pot with enough depth for the stake
2. Gently push the base of the trellis into soil away from roots
3. Use soft ties or plant clips if needed to help guide vines
4. Let your plant do its thing — upward and onward!

Top tip: Avoid planting directly against the base of the trellis to give your plant space to reach and grip naturally.

Can I use this with indoor plants only?
Not at all — it's great for indoor and sheltered outdoor spaces alike.

Will it rust or stain my planter?
Nope — it’s crafted from Corten® steel, which develops a natural patina, not flaky rust.

Is it suitable for larger plants?
It's ideal for small to mid-sized climbers like pothos, philodendron, and hoya. For heavier vines, consider pairing with a stake.

What makes this different from the Bee Plant Stake?
This one is a trellis, not a stake — it has surface area for climbing vines to cling to and grow up through.

Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.

When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.

That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.

This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.

The Patina Process:

At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.

The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
