This feeder is absolutely fantastic and has quickly become a standout in the garden. It’s incredibly sturdy and clearly well-designed, handling the local weather here in Lower Hutt without any issues. I love watching the Silvereyes gather and feed, and it’s great to see the materials aging naturally and blending beautifully into the garden environment. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to attract native birds.
My Ruru is perched on the garden trellis overlooking the garden and house. The second one I purchased is waiting to be posted to Mandurah, Western Australia to reside in my daughters patio area to give her a piece of NZ to admire. Thank you Phil and your team.
Beautiful, amazing, gorgeous bird. I love her. Shown here with the morning sun behind her. I hope she attracts some real life friends. THANK YOU Metalbird for making such beautiful sculptures of our birds. Go the global art project!
I LOVE her. The intricacy of the cutouts. The cleverness to know that you can have so much negative space but if you leave this squiggle and that line, it will give 100% ruru - I'm so impressed and in awe of the artist. And where I put her, I can appreciate her for a few hours every day, and she looks incredible. So stunning, perfect placement. (I'm saying her because female ruru are a bit larger than males, and this one is a bit larger than real ruru but pretty close to female size).
Delivery was very quick. Even dealt with the fact I'd needed to change the delivery address, with no issues whatsoever.
Love my Tui's. Have now ordered a wee Fantail.
Very happy with my purchase.

My Husband loved this gift of the Kereru.
Has it sitting in a lovely tree in the front garden.
I brought him the Tui a couple of years ago, which has pride of place also.
Great workmanship
Thanks so much Phil.
Kindest Regards.

Many thanks to Phil and the team for creating these incredible birds. I can’t recommend these enough, they make the perfect gift, or treat for yourself
I absolutely adore my metal birds. The craftsmanship, quality, and service from the team is fantastic. Metal birds are the perfect gift for any occasion
I gave this bird feeder to my parents in New Zealand. They were sceptical at first but soon worked out how to use it and now have great fun putting fruit on it and attracting the local wax eyes and other native nectar feeders especially in winter. Would definitely recommend.
Had to cut down a totara but left it to shrub up, and I had to add a Metal bird. It’s perfect looking out to the bay and it’s about my 20th bird. Glad this wee tern also helped raise money…🌟
I mounted my Ruru Metalbird on a piece of driftwood that I found locally. I sanded and polished it before attaching it to an outdoor column, then added the Ruru above head height. It looks terrific against a clear sky.
Absolutely love this set and as you can see from the photo it has proved very attractive and the positioning is perfect with the lighting and background. Love these so much and was a gift for my Mum on Mother’s Day.
Love my metal birds they look great and make me smile, my last purchase was a great deal with 2 for $130
I’m taking some for gifts for friends whilst visiting Uk next month.
Your service was fast and very efficient.
Keep up the great work.
We have had our piwakawaka and bird feeder for a number of years now and they bring us great joy and wonderful photo opportunities. Are purchasing another piwakawaka for a friend as a gift.
There are no fantails / piwakawaka in my garden currently but I love the Metalbird one that flew into my home like telling me she will bring more into my garden soon. I love it
I’ve lived in New Zealand for 50 years and am finally becoming a citizen in two weeks time. To celebrate becoming a Kiwi I have just purchased the brown kiwi to add to my collection and plan to put him in the garden by my front door so that visitors can clearly see a Kiwi lives in this house now.
