Bird Feeder
A reason to watch the garden a little longer.
A little steel house, a leafy branch and a perch for visitors. Our Bird Feeder gives the birdwatcher in your life another reason to pause by the window. Slide the separate perch into place before mounting it on sound timber, then keep it clean and ready for the next visitor. Birds and food are not included, naturally.
Steel that changes with the seasons
Corten is weathering steel. Its grey surface changes through orange and brown tones outdoors as a natural rust patina develops. Each setting leaves its own mark, so colour and timing vary. Allow water to drain and keep rusty runoff away from pale stone, walls and other surfaces that could stain.
Slide in the perch. Choose its spot.
Slide the separate perch into the house-shaped feeder before installing. Choose sound, solid wood, angle the mounting spike slightly downward and tap the thick end with a hammer or mallet until steady. Hard wood may need a pilot hole. Wear gloves and eye protection. Keep the feeder clean, remove old food and allow it to dry between uses. Follow local bird-care guidance when choosing food and a feeding location.
A small box with someone in mind.
The feeder and separate perch pack flat in Metalbird gift packaging. Slide the perch into the feeder before choosing its timber home.
